BYD will accept car battery returns and exchanges within 90 days of purchase if that battery is faulty, unused, or doesn’t fit a battery mount. When returning a car battery to Walmart, customers should have the original packaging and receipt to receive a cash refund, exchange, or store credit.
Situations In Which You Can Return
As briefly stated above, Walmart customers can return their car batteries to Walmart under certain circumstances. These typically include:
- If the battery is reading 12.45 volts or less. This means the battery only has a 75% charge
- The car battery is not holding a charge or is simply not working
- The battery does not fit in your cars battery mount
- An unused battery that has not yet been used or installed
If customers fall into any of the above scenarios, you will be eligible for a full refund or exchange within 90 days of purchase.
The initial warranty will guarantee a free replacement service, and the second warranty will give you a prorated replacement service.
For example, if your battery warranty is 5 years long. The first 3-year warranty guarantees free replacement, and the following 2-year warranty offers prorated replacement.
